alamarBlue (Resazurin) is a cell-permeant fluorogenic probe that passively enters a healthy cell where it is reduced to a brightly emitting dye called Resarufin. It can be used in fluorescent or colorimetic microplate assays and is useful to detect the health of animal cell lines, bacteria, plant and fungi. Fluorescently it is excited at 569 nm and emits at 582 nm.
