About Alizarin Red


Alizarin Red is a natural water-soluble pigment derived from Anthraquinones to stain for calcium deposits in tissue and the bone contained in whole mount embryonic specimens. Alizarin Red can be used chromogenically or fluorescently. It has a fluorescence excitation peak at 502 nm and an emission peak at 586nm.
