Jagged 2 Monoclonal / Biotin / REA1036
Product Details
Description | Clone REA1036 recognizes the human Jagged2 protein, which is one of the several mammalian Notch ligands. Jagged2 is expressed by various organs and cell types and is involved in regulation of cell differentiation processes, such as lymphocyte development, myogenesis, and neurogenesis. Jagged2 is reported to be essential for the regulation of spermatogenesis. Jagged2 is also expressed on some lymphoma and leukemia cells and various other tumor cells and can be expressed by various antigen-presenting cells (APC) and may contribute to APC-directed peripheral T cell differentiation. | Additional information: Clone REA1036 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors | |

About Jagged 2
The Notch signaling pathway is an intercellular signaling mechanism that is essential for proper embryonic development. Members of the Notch gene family encode transmembrane receptors that are critical for various cell fate decisions. The protein encoded by this gene is one of several ligands that activate Notch and related receptors. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
