CD127 Monoclonal / VioBright FITC / REA614
Product Details
Description | Clone REA614 recognizes the CD127 antigen, which is the alpha-chain of the interleukin 7 (IL-7) receptor, a type I membrane glycoprotein. Signaling of IL-7 through the IL-7R requires both IL-7Ralpha and the common cytokine gamma chain (gammac). CD127 can be identified on immature B cells through the early pre–B stage, on thymocytes, and on most mature T cells with transient down-regulation upon activation. On regulatory T cells CD127 is absent and its expression is inversely correlated with FoxP3 expression and suppressive function. CD127 is also used by thymic stromal derived lymphopoietin (TSLP) as part of a complex. | Additional information: Clone REA614 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About CD127
The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for interleukin 7 (IL7). The function of this receptor requires the interleukin 2 receptor, gamma chain (IL2RG), which is a common gamma chain shared by the receptors of various cytokines, including interleukins 2, 4, 7, 9, and 15. This protein has been shown to play a critical role in V(D)J recombination during lymphocyte development. Defects in this gene may be associated with severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID). Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]
