CD31 Monoclonal / PE-Vio770 / REA784

Product Details
Description Clone REA784 recognizes the cell surface protein CD31. The murine CD31 antigen is also known as PECAM-1. The encoded protein is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing six Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and functions as cell adhesion molecule. CD31 is present on mature endothelial cells as well as on most leukocyte subtypes and platelets where the expression level can vary. Besides its function in exhibiting adhesive properties, the protein is required for leukocyte transendothelial migration (TEM) under most inflammatory conditions. | Additional information: Clone REA784 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.

About CD31
The protein encoded by this gene is found on the surface of platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and some types of T-cells, and makes up a large portion of endothelial cell intercellular junctions. The encoded protein is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is likely involved in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis, and integrin activation. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
About PE-Vio770
PE-Vio® 770 from Miltenyi Biotec is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Vio®770. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Vio®770, which emitts light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm and is a common alternative to PE-Cy7 and PE-H7.
