CD103 Monoclonal / PE-Vio770 / REA803

Product Details
Description Clone REA803 recognizes the human CD103 antigen, a type I transmembrane protein which is also known as alphaE integrin (ITGAE). It associates with integrin beta7 to form the heterodimeric integrin molecule alphaEbeta7 and is a receptor for the ligand E-cadherin expressed on epithelial cells. CD103 is found on intraepithelial and peripheral lymphocytes, such as regulatory T cell subpopulations. | Additional information: Clone REA803 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.

About CD103
Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. This gene encodes an I-domain-containing alpha integrin that undergoes post-translational cleavage in the extracellular domain, yielding disulfide-linked heavy and light chains. In combination with the beta 7 integrin, this protein forms the E-cadherin binding integrin known as the human mucosal lymphocyte-1 antigen. This protein is preferentially expressed in human intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes (IEL), and in addition to a role in adhesion, it may serve as an accessory molecule for IEL activation. About PE-Vio770
PE-Vio® 770 from Miltenyi Biotec is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Vio®770. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Vio®770, which emitts light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm and is a common alternative to PE-Cy7 and PE-H7.
