CD62L Monoclonal / PerCP-Vio700 / REA828
Product Details
Description | Clone REA828 recognizes mouse CD62L, also known as L-selectin. CD62L is a member of the selectin family of cell adhesion molecules. CD62L is important for the homing of lymphocytes to peripheral lymph nodes through high endothelial venules. It also contributes to leukocyte emigration into acute inflammatory sites. CD62L is a glycoprotein expressed on the cell surface of most thymocytes, T cells, B cells, monocytes, dendritic cells, neutrophils, and eosinophils. It is highly expressed on naive T cells and down-regulated upon differentiation due to activation-dependent shedding. CD62L is also expressed on a subset of CCR7highCD44high central memory T cells and on CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells. | Additional information: Clone REA828 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About CD62L
This gene encodes a cell surface adhesion molecule that belongs to a family of adhesion/homing receptors. The encoded protein contains a C-type lectin-like domain, a calcium-binding epidermal growth factor-like domain, and two short complement-like repeats. The gene product is required for binding and subsequent rolling of leucocytes on endothelial cells, facilitating their migration into secondary lymphoid organs and inflammation sites. Single-nucleotide polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with various diseases including immunoglobulin A nephropathy. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]

About PerCP-Vio700
PerCP-Vio® 770 is a far-red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines PerCP and a Vio®770 dye. The donor, PerCP, can be excited by the 488 nm blue laser and transfers energy to the acceptor, Vio®770, which emits light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. APC-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 482 nm and an emission peak at 704 nm, and is spectrally similar to PerCP-Cy5.5 and PerCP-eF710. PerCP-Vio®770 is known to be very bright and photostable, as well as being stable when treated with fixatives. These favorable characteristics that make it useful in multiple different applications such as flow cytometry and Fluorescence Microscopy. The large stokes shift can be advantageous when trying to fit more colors into a multicolor panel. The Vio® dye family are products of Miltenyi Biotec, with many antibody conjugates designed and validated for flow cytometry.
