Lag-3 Monoclonal / PE / REA776

Product Details
Description Clone REA776 recognizes an epitope within the D2 domain of murine CD233, also known as LAG-3, which is a 70 kDa high affinity MHC class II ligand. It is expressed on activated CD4+ and CD8+ alpha/beta T cells, on a subset of NK cells, B cells and plasmacytoid dendritic cells. It is proposed, that LAG-3 could be used as a marker of T cell induced B cell activation. | In association with the CD3 complex CD223 is a negative regulatory molecule to inhibit TCR-mediated signaling and to regulate homeostatic T cell expansion. | Additional information: Clone REA776 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors

About Lag-3
Lymphocyte-activation protein 3 belongs to Ig superfamily and contains 4 extracellular Ig-like domains. The LAG3 gene contains 8 exons. The sequence data, exon/intron organization, and chromosomal localization all indicate a close relationship of LAG3 to CD4. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
About PE
Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the brightest fluorophores available and a potent donor upon which to build tandem fluorophores with longer Stoke's Shifts.
