SOX1 Monoclonal / APC / REA698
Product Details
Description | Clone REA698 recognizes the human Sox1 antigen, a member of the SRY-related HMG-box family of transcription factors, which are implicated in embryogenesis. Sox1 is mainly expressed in the developing central nervous system and is involved in neurogenesis in different species, especially in brain and eye development. | Additional information: Clone REA698 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About SOX1
This intronless gene encodes a member of the SOX (SRY-related HMG-box) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of the cell fate. The encoded protein may act as a transcriptional activator after forming a protein complex with other proteins. In mice, a similar protein regulates the gamma-crystallin genes and is essential for lens development. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

About APC
Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
