PEAR1 Monoclonal / APC / REA790
Product Details
Description | Clone REA790 recognizes the human platelet endothelial aggregation receptor 1 (PEAR1) antigen, a type I transmembrane protein also known as MEGF12. PEAR1, an EGF-containing receptor and member of the MEGF family, is found in various tissues. High levels of PEAR1 are found in platelets and endothelial cells, it is weakly expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes and macrophages. PEAR1 becomes activated by platelet contact and is involved in agonist-induced platelet aggregation. | Additional information: Clone REA790 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About PEAR1
PEAR1 is a platelet receptor that signals upon the formation of platelet-platelet contacts independent of platelet activation and secondary to platelet aggregation (Nanda et al., 2005 [PubMed 15851471]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

About APC
Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
