MUC-13 Monoclonal / APC / REA711
Product Details
Description | Clone REA711 recognizes the human MUC-13 antigen, a 54 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein. MUC-13 may play a role in cell signaling and is involved in barrier function in epithelial tissues. It is highly expressed in epithelial tissues, particularly those of the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts, such as large intestine and trachea, followed by kidney, small intestine, appendix, and stomach. Including MUC-13, there are at least five cell surface mucins expressed in the gastrointestinal tract. | Additional information: Clone REA711 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About MUC-13
Epithelial mucins, such as MUC13, are a family of secreted and cell surface glycoproteins expressed by ductal and glandular epithelial tissues (Williams et al., 2001 [PubMed 11278439]).[supplied by OMIM, Jul 2008]

About APC
Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
