About CD8b
The CD8 antigen is a cell surface glycoprotein found on most cytotoxic T lymphocytes that mediates efficient cell-cell interactions within the immune system. The CD8 antigen, acting as a coreceptor, and the T-cell receptor on the T lymphocyte recognize antigens displayed by an antigen presenting cell (APC) in the context of class I MHC molecules. The functional coreceptor is either a homodimer composed of two alpha chains, or a heterodimer composed of one alpha and one beta chain. Both alpha and beta chains share significant homology to immunoglobulin variable light chains. This gene encodes the CD8 beta chain isoforms. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct membrane associated or secreted isoforms have been described. A pseudogene, also located on chromosome 2, has been identified. About PE-Dazzle 594
PE-Dazzle® 594 (RPE-Dazzle 594) from Biolegend is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Dazzle 594. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Dazzle 594, which emitts light that can be captured with a 610/20 nm bandpass filter. PE-Dazzle 594 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 610 nm, and is suitable alternative to PE-Texas Red, PE-eF610, PE-Alexa Fluor™ 610 or PE-CF®594.
