CD301 Monoclonal / PE / REA687
Product Details
Description | Clone REA687 recognizes the mouse CD301 (CLEC10A) antigen, which is a 40 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by immature DCs and activated macrophages. Mouse CD301 has two homologue genes, CD301a (MGL1) and CD301b (MGL2). CD301 is a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily which plays a role in cell adhesion, cell-cell signaling, glycoprotein turnover, inflammation, and immune response. CD301 binds in a calcium-dependent manner to terminal galactose and N-acetylgalactosamine units, linked to serine or threonine. | Additional information: Clone REA687 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About CD301
This gene encodes a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily. Members of this family share a common protein fold and have diverse functions, such as cell adhesion, cell-cell signalling, glycoprotein turnover, and roles in inflammation and immune response. The encoded type 2 transmembrane protein may function as a cell surface antigen. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

About PE
Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the brightest fluorophores available and a potent donor upon which to build tandem fluorophores with longer Stoke's Shifts.
