| Description | Clone REA677 recognizes the human Vbeta7.2 T cell receptor (TCR Vbeta7.2). The TCR is responsible for recognizing antigens bound to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules. It is a disulfide-linked membrane-anchored heterodimeric glycoprotein normally consisting of the highly variable alpha and beta chains expressed as part of a complex with the invariant CD3 chain molecules. It is suggested that T cells expressing TCRs with Vbeta7.2 are protective against a pathogenic immune response in Sjögren's syndrome. TCR Vbeta7.2 is expressed on a subset of alpha/beta T cells. | Additional information: Clone REA677 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | | |
