CLEC5A Monoclonal / APC / REA582
Product Details
Description | Clone REA582 recognizes the mouse myeloid DAP12-associating lectin 1 (MDL-1) antigen, also known as C-type lectin domain family 5 member A (CLEC5A) or C-type lectin superfamily member 5 (CLECSF5). MDL-1 is type II transmembrane protein which contains a charged residue in the transmembrane region that enables it to pair with DAP12. MDL-1 is expressed on myeloid cells. It has been suggested, that MDL-1 plays an important role in immune defense as a result of an innate immunity. | Additional information: Clone REA582 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About CLEC5A
This gene encodes a member of the C-type lectin/C-type lectin-like domain (CTL/CTLD) superfamily. Members of this family share a common protein fold and have diverse functions, such as cell adhesion, cell-cell signalling, glycoprotein turnover, and roles in inflammation and immune response. The encoded type II transmembrane protein interacts with dnax-activation protein 12 and may play a role in cell activation. Alternative splice variants have been described but their full-length sequence has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

About APC
Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
