Description | Clone REA519 recognizes the mouse CD155 antigen, which is a 70 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein in the immunoglobulin superfamily. CD155, also known as poliovirus receptor (PVR), belongs to a large family of Ig molecules called nectins and nectin-like proteins, which mediate cell-cell adhesion, cell migration, and serve as entry receptors for viruses. CD155 and its family member CD112 (nectin-2) are the ligands for the activating cell-surface receptor DNAM-1 on CD8+ T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. Mouse CD155 is found on a wide variety of cells of hematopoietic origin, on CD4+ CD8+ thymocytes, regulatory T cells, other activated T cells, NKT cells, and at cell junctions on the primary vascular endothelial cells. | Additional information: Clone REA519 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About CD155
The protein encoded by this gene is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. The external domain mediates cell attachment to the extracellular matrix molecule vitronectin, while its intracellular domain interacts with the dynein light chain Tctex-1/DYNLT1. The gene is specific to the primate lineage, and serves as a cellular receptor for poliovirus in the first step of poliovirus replication. About PE-Vio770
PE-Vio® 770 from Miltenyi Biotec is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Vio®770. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Vio®770, which emitts light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm and is a common alternative to PE-Cy7 and PE-H7.
