CMKLR1 Monoclonal / PE / REA461
Product Details
Description | Clone REA461 recognizes the mouse G-protein coupled receptor ChemR23 antigen, a multi-pass membrane protein, which is also known as chemokine-like receptor 1 (CMKLR1). During dendritic cell (DC) differentiation from bone marrow, ChemR23 is upregulated early and then diminishes with time in culture. Most DC in vivo do not detectably express the receptor. In contrast, freshly isolated F4/80+/CD11b+ mouse peritoneal macrophages express ChemR23, display calcium signaling and migration to the active ligand. A small population of blood-borne F4/80+/CD11b+ macrophages also expresses ChemR23. Its natural ligand, chemerin, acts as a chemoattractant agent for leukocytes expressing ChemR23. Activation of ChemR23 results in intracellular calcium release, inhibition of cAMP accumulation and phosphorylation of ERK-1/ERK-2 MAP kinases. ChemR23 positively regulates adipogenesis and adipocyte metabolism. | Additional information: Clone REA461 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About CMKLR1
Enables adipokinetic hormone binding activity and adipokinetic hormone receptor activity. Involved in several processes, including negative regulation of NF-kappaB transcription factor activity; positive regulation of macrophage chemotaxis; and regulation of calcium-mediated signaling. Located in plasma membrane. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Apr 2022]

About PE
Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the brightest fluorophores available and a potent donor upon which to build tandem fluorophores with longer Stoke's Shifts.
