Description | The RM134L monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD252, a TNF/NGF superfamily member present on activated B lymphocytes and antigen-presenting cells. On activated B cells it enhances immunoglobulin secretion and cell proliferation. CD252 is also known as the OX-40 ligand and interacts with the OX-40 antigen found on the surface of activated T cells. The RML134L is reported to block the costimulatory activity of OX-40L. | |

About OX40L
This gene encodes a cytokine of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. The encoded protein functions in T cell antigen-presenting cell (APC) interactions and mediates adhesion of activated T cells to endothelial cells. Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with Sjogren's syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
