About Nile Blue
Nile Blue A is a chromogenic stain and fluorescent soluble cationic dye that stains cell membranes and can be sensitive to pH. Due to its solubility in aqueous medium, Nile Blue A can be easier to apply to histological samples for Fluorescence Microscopy. Spectrally it is also compatible with flow cytometry. Nile Blue is excited at 633 nm and emits at 660 nm.
