CCL11 / Biotin / Polyclonal

Product Details
Description To detect hEotaxin by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hEotaxin is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. To detect hEotaxin by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μl/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 – 1.0 μg/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech's Polyclonal Anti-Human Eotaxin (500-P41G) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hEotaxin. To detect hEotaxin by direct ELISA (using 100 μl/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 – 1.0 μg/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hEotaxin.Produced from sera of goats pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant hEotaxin. Anti-Human Eotaxin specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

About CCL11
This antimicrobial gene is one of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17. Chemokines form a superfamily of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The superfamily is divided into four subfamilies based on the arrangement of the N-terminal cysteine residues of the mature peptide. This chemokine, a member of the CC subfamily, displays chemotactic activity for eosinophils, but not mononuclear cells or neutrophils. This eosinophil-specific chemokine is thought to be involved in eosinophilic inflammatory diseases such as atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma and parasitic infections.
