CCL26 / Biotin / Polyclonal

Product Details
Description To detect hEotaxin-3 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 μg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hEotaxin-3 is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. To detect hEotaxin-3 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μl/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 – 1.0 μg/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech's Polyclonal Anti-Human Eotoaxin-3 (500-P156G) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hEotaxin-3. To detect hEotaxin-3 by direct ELISA (using 100 μl/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 – 1.0 μg/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 – 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hEotaxin-3.Produced from sera of goats pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant hEotaxin-3 (murine Eotaxin-3). Anti-hEotaxin-3 specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

About CCL26
This gene is one of two Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine genes clustered on the q arm of chromosome 7. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for normal peripheral blood eosinophils and basophils. This protein also has antimicrobial activity, displaying an antibacterial effect on S. pneumoniae, S. aureus, Non-typeable H. influenzae, and P. aeruginosa. The product of this gene is one of three related chemokines that specifically activate chemokine receptor CCR3. This chemokine may contribute to the eosinophil accumulation in atopic diseases.
