OX40L / Biotin / RM134L

Product Details
Description CD252 is a 35 kD member of the TNF superfamily and is the ligand for OX-40, which is primarily found on activated T cells. The CD252/OX-40 pair contributes to B-cell and T-cell interaction during the immune response. Both proliferative and IL-2 production responses of activated T cells are enhanced via OX-40 antigen stimulation, while proliferation and Ig secretion by activated B cells is enhanced via CD252 stimulation. Hence, because both T cells and B cells are activated in cross-linking, the CD252/OX-40 pair is considered reciprocally costimulatory.

About OX40L
This gene encodes a cytokine of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. The encoded protein functions in T cell antigen-presenting cell (APC) interactions and mediates adhesion of activated T cells to endothelial cells. Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with Sjogren's syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
