TCR V gamma 9 / APC-Vio770 / REA470
Product Details
Description | Clone REA470 recognizes the human variable gamma 9 subunit of the gamma/delta T cell receptor (TCR Vgamma9). The T cell receptor is a heterodimeric glycoprotein associated with the CD3 antigen. The gamma and delta TCR chains are composed of constant and variable regions, each encoded by distinct gene segments. gammadelta T cells represent unconventional lymphocytes that share characteristics of natural killer (NK) cells and T cells and often express regulatory NK receptors, thereby linking innate and adaptive immunity. Upon cross-linking CD94/NKG2A, antigenic activation of gammadelta T cells is down-modulated by inhibiting cell proliferation, cytokine production, and cytotoxicity. gammadelta T cells can detect target cells with patterns of MHC class I expression altered as a result of tumor transformation or viral infection, thus endowing them with a role in immunosurveillance originally attributed to NK cells only. Vgamma9/Vdelta2 T cells comprise the majority of peripheral human gammadelta T cells and are capable of responding to the microbial metabolite HMB-PP. | Additional information: Clone REA470 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |
