c-Cbl (pY774) Monoclonal / PE / REA118

Product Details
Description Clone REA118 recognizes the Y774-phosphorylated form of human c-Cbl, which is a member of Cbl family of proteins. Cbl proteins serve as the negative regulators of antigen receptor signaling and contain N-terminal tyrosine kinase-binding (TKB) domain, which mediates binding to specific phosphotyrosine motifs on activated protein tyosine kinases (PTKs), a Zn-coordinating RING finger domain that interacts with ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s), a proline-rich region and a C-terminal leucine zipper-like region. c-Cbl unlike the other cbl proteins contains only a short proline-rich region and no C-terminal leucine zipper-like region. Cbl proteins acts as E3 ubiquitin ligase and tranfer ubiquitin molecules to tag activated receptors, PTKS, and signaling molecules for degradation. | Additional information: Clone REA118 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |

About PE
Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the brightest fluorophores available and a potent donor upon which to build tandem fluorophores with longer Stoke's Shifts.
