CD318 Monoclonal / Biotin / REA194
Product Details
Description | Clone REA194 recognizes CD318, a type I transmembrane protein which is also known as CUB domain-containing protein 1 (CDCP1) or SIMA135. CD318 has an approximate molecular weight of 93 kDa and contains an extracellular domain with three regions with low homology to complement protein subcomponents C1r/C1s, urchin embryonic growth factor, and bone morphogenetic protein 1 (CUB) domains. CD318 has been suggested to be an interacting partner of Src family kinase and protein kinase Cdelta. It has been shown that CD318 plays a role in cancer progression and the development of metastases. CD318 expression is found widely in normal tissues, whereas an aberrant overexpression is suggested to be associated with tumor cells. | Additional information: Clone REA194 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | | |

About CD318
This gene encodes a transmembrane protein which contains three extracellular CUB domains and acts as a substrate for Src family kinases. The protein plays a role in the tyrosine phosphorylation-dependent regulation of cellular events that are involved in tumor invasion and metastasis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2013]
