CD202b Monoclonal / PE-Vio770 / REA198

Product Details
Description Clone REA198 recognizes CD202b, which is 145 kDa type I transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor. CD202b is composed of an amino-terminal ligand binding domain with immunoglobulin domains, epithelial growth factor and fibronectin-like 3 repeats, a single transmembrane domain, and an intracellular tyrosine kinase domain. Expression of CD202b is found on endothelial cells and a subpopulation of monocytes. Angiopoietins are the natural ligands of CD202b and activation of CD202b dependent signaling pathways are involved in survival and apoptosis of endothelial cells, in controlling vascular permeability, and regulation of the capillary sprouting that occurs during normal angiogenesis. | Additional information: Clone REA198 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |

About CD202b
This gene encodes a receptor that belongs to the protein tyrosine kinase Tie2 family. The encoded protein possesses a unique extracellular region that contains two immunoglobulin-like domains, three epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like domains and three fibronectin type III repeats. The ligand angiopoietin-1 binds to this receptor and mediates a signaling pathway that functions in embryonic vascular development. Mutations in this gene are associated with inherited venous malformations of the skin and mucous membranes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Additional alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but their full-length nature is not known. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2014]
About PE-Vio770
PE-Vio® 770 from Miltenyi Biotec is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Vio®770. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Vio®770, which emitts light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm and is a common alternative to PE-Cy7 and PE-H7.
