CD270 Monoclonal / APC-Vio770 / REA247

Product Details
Description Clone REA247 recognizes CD270, which is also known as HVEM and derives its name based on the ability of types 1 and 2 herpesvirus gD to bind to it for entry into the cell. CD270 is a type 1 transmembrane protein with a predicted molecular weight of 30 kDa and is a member of the TNFR superfamily. CD270 transmits both activating and inhibitory signals for, e.g., interaction with receptors such as BTLA or CD160 attenuates TCR-mediated signaling, whereas interaction with receptor LIGHT allows co-stimulation of T and B cells. Expression of CD270 is widely distributed and is found on hematopoietic cells such as dendritic cells, Tregs, monocytes, neutrophils, NK cells, B cells, and T cells, as well as on non-hematopoietic cells. | Additional information: Clone REA247 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |

About CD270
This gene encodes a member of the TNF (tumor necrosis factor) receptor superfamily. The encoded protein functions in signal transduction pathways that activate inflammatory and inhibitory T-cell immune response. It binds herpes simplex virus (HSV) viral envelope glycoprotein D (gD), mediating its entry into cells. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
About APC-Vio770
APC-Vio®770 from Miltenyi is a tandem fluorophore with APC as the donor and has an excitation peak at 652 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm, and is spectrally similar to APC-Cy® 7 (GE Healthcare) APC-H7 (BD Biosciences), APC-eFluor™ 780 (ThermoFisher Scientific), APC-Vio®770 (Miltenyi Biotec), and APC-Fire™ 750 (BioLegend). The Vio® dye family are products of Miltenyi Biotec, with many antibody conjugates designed and validated for flow cytometry.
