CD131 Monoclonal / APC / REA249
Product Details
Description | Clone REA249 recognizes the human CD131 antigen, a type I transmembrane glycoprotein also known as IL-3R common subunit beta or GM-CSF/IL-3/IL-5 receptor common beta chain. CD131 forms heterodimers with the alpha subunit of the receptor complexes for human granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSFR), interleukin 3 (IL-3R), and interleukin 5 (IL-5R). These cytokine receptors are expressed by several different cell types like neutrophils, eosinophils, monocytes, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and hematopoietic progenitor cells. | Additional information: Clone REA249 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About CD131
The protein encoded by this gene is the common beta chain of the high affinity receptor for IL-3, IL-5 and CSF. Defects in this gene have been reported to be associated with protein alveolar proteinosis (PAP). [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

About APC
Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
