TNF Receptor II Monoclonal / PerCP-Vio700 / REA228

Product Details
Description Clone REA228 recognizes the extracellular part of the membrane-bound and truncated soluble form of the mouse CD120b antigen, a 75 kD type I transmembrane protein, which is also known as Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor Type II (TNF-RII). CD120b is a receptor with high affinity for the mouse cytokine TNF-alpha and with lower affinity for LT-alpha. It belongs to the TNF receptor superfamily and is largely confined to cells of the immune system. CD120b is strongly expressed on stimulated T and B lymphocytes and on a variety of cells at low levels. Sustained activation of TNF signaling has been implicated in the pathogenesis of a wide spectrum of diseases, including cancer, osteoporosis, sepsis, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease. Additional information: Clone REA228 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. |

About TNF Receptor II
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This protein and TNF-receptor 1 form a heterocomplex that mediates the recruitment of two anti-apoptotic proteins, c-IAP1 and c-IAP2, which possess E3 ubiquitin ligase activity. The function of IAPs in TNF-receptor signalling is unknown, however, c-IAP1 is thought to potentiate TNF-induced apoptosis by the ubiquitination and degradation of TNF-receptor-associated factor 2, which mediates anti-apoptotic signals. Knockout studies in mice also suggest a role of this protein in protecting neurons from apoptosis by stimulating antioxidative pathways. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
About PerCP-Vio700
PerCP-Vio® 770 is a far-red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines PerCP and a Vio®770 dye. The donor, PerCP, can be excited by the 488 nm blue laser and transfers energy to the acceptor, Vio®770, which emits light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. APC-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 482 nm and an emission peak at 704 nm, and is spectrally similar to PerCP-Cy5.5 and PerCP-eF710. PerCP-Vio®770 is known to be very bright and photostable, as well as being stable when treated with fixatives. These favorable characteristics that make it useful in multiple different applications such as flow cytometry and Fluorescence Microscopy. The large stokes shift can be advantageous when trying to fit more colors into a multicolor panel. The Vio® dye family are products of Miltenyi Biotec, with many antibody conjugates designed and validated for flow cytometry.
