CD229 Monoclonal / APC / REA273
Product Details
Description | Clone REA273 recognizes both mouse CD229 antigen alleles, Ly9.1 and Ly9.2. CD229 is a glycoprotein of the SLAM family also known as Ly9 or SLAMF3 which is a homophilic cell surface receptor present on a variety of immune cell types including T cells, B cells, NK cells, and thymocytes. It has been shown to interact with the adaptor proteins, SLAM-associated protein and EAT-2. CD229 is highly expressed on innate-like lymphocytes such as iNKT cells and in contrast to SLAMF1 and SLAMF6, CD229 plays a negative rather than a positive role in the signaling pathways required for innate-like lymphocyte development in the thymus. | Additional Information: Clone REA273 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | | |

About CD229
LY9 belongs to the SLAM family of immunomodulatory receptors (see SLAMF1; MIM 603492) and interacts with the adaptor molecule SAP (SH2D1A; MIM 300490) (Graham et al., 2006 [PubMed 16365421]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

About APC
Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
