CD226 Monoclonal / PE-Vio770 / DX11

Product Details
Description Clone DX11 recognizes CD226 (DNAM-1), a 65 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, platelets, monocytes, and a subset of B cells. It is also expressed by a subset of CD3+ thymocytes. The surface association of CD226 (DNAM-1) with LFA-1 on NK cells and T cells permits the transduction of cytolytic signals upon binding of CD226 (DNAM-1) to its ligands CD155 (PVR) and CD112 (Nectin-2).

About CD226
This gene encodes a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of NK cells, platelets, monocytes and a subset of T cells. It is a member of the Ig-superfamily containing 2 Ig-like domains of the V-set. The protein mediates cellular adhesion of platelets and megakaryocytic cells to vascular endothelial cells. The protein also plays a role in megakaryocytic cell maturation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2015]
About PE-Vio770
PE-Vio® 770 from Miltenyi Biotec is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Vio®770. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Vio®770, which emitts light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm and is a common alternative to PE-Cy7 and PE-H7.
