CD107b Monoclonal / PE / H4B4

Product Details
Description The monoclonal antibody H4B4 reacts with human CD107b, also known as lysosomal-associated membrane protein-2 (LAMP-2), which is a 120 kDa highly glycosylated type I transmembrane protein. It is widely located in lysosomal/endosomal membranes in a high variety of cell types and also expressed on degranulating T cells, activated platelets, and some tumor cell lines. CD107b is involved in cell adhesion and cellular homeostasis, including autophagocytosis and antigen presentation as well as in tumor cell metastasis.

About CD107b
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of a family of membrane glycoproteins. This glycoprotein provides selectins with carbohydrate ligands. It may play a role in tumor cell metastasis. It may also function in the protection, maintenance, and adhesion of the lysosome. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct proteins. About PE
Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the brightest fluorophores available and a potent donor upon which to build tandem fluorophores with longer Stoke's Shifts.
