| Description | Clone FR 70 reacts with CD70, a 30–33 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein. It is a member of the TNF superfamily and is expressed by activated mouse T and B lymphocytes. CD70 interacts with CD27, its ligand on T cells, in order to promote T-B cell cross-stimulation and co-stimulates B cell proliferation and immunoglobulin production. | |

About CD70
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This cytokine is a ligand for TNFRSF27/CD27. It is a surface antigen on activated, but not on resting, T and B lymphocytes. It induces proliferation of costimulated T cells, enhances the generation of cytolytic T cells, and contributes to T cell activation. This cytokine is also reported to play a role in regulating B-cell activation, cytotoxic function of natural killer cells, and immunoglobulin sythesis. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Vio®Blue® has an excitation peak at 400 nm and an emission peak at 455 nm, and is spectrally similar to eFluor™ 450 (ThermoFisher Scientific), V450 (BD Biosciences), Alexa Fluor™ 405 (ThermoFisher), Pacific Blue (ThermoFisher Scientific) and ATTO 425 (AttoTec).
