Ly-49D Monoclonal / PE-Vio770 / 4E5
Product Details
Description | Clone 4E5 recognizes Ly-49D, a type II transmembrane NK-cell receptor belonging to the Ly-49 family. Members of Ly-49 family are homodimeric C-type lectin receptors, recognizing MHC class I molecules as ligands and include activating and inhibitory receptor molecules. Ly-49D is a prototypic activating member of Ly-49 family and in contrast to inhibitory members, lacks a cytoplasmic immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM). A positive signal is initiated by interaction of Ly-49D with immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activating motif (ITAM) containing transmembrane adapter DAP12. Expression of Ly-49D is strain restricted and is found on subsets of NK cells in C57BL/6, C3H/He, and SJL but not in BALB/c, DBA/2, AKR, and CBA/J mice. | |

About PE-Vio770
PE-Vio® 770 from Miltenyi Biotec is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Vio®770. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Vio®770, which emitts light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm and is a common alternative to PE-Cy7 and PE-H7.
