CD278 Monoclonal / VioBlue / 7E.17G9

Product Details
Description Clone 7E.17G9 reacts with CD278, the inducible co-stimulatory molecule (ICOS), a 47–57 kDa homodimeric glycoprotein of the CD28 family. Directly ex vivo, CD278 is expressed only by a small subset of T cells, including follicular B helper T cells (TFH) and regulatory T cells. However, CD278 is strongly up-regulated on the surface following T cell activation. Upon binding to its ligand (ICOSL), CD278 initiates a multitude of events, which modulate many different aspects of T cell–mediated immune responses. Besides regulating differentiation and activation of effector as well as regulatory CD4+ T cells, ICOS also plays a role in germinal center formation and isotype switching.

About CD278
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the CD28 and CTLA-4 cell-surface receptor family. It forms homodimers and plays an important role in cell-cell signaling, immune responses, and regulation of cell proliferation. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
About VioBlue
Vio®Blue® has an excitation peak at 400 nm and an emission peak at 455 nm, and is spectrally similar to eFluor™ 450 (ThermoFisher Scientific), V450 (BD Biosciences), Alexa Fluor™ 405 (ThermoFisher), Pacific Blue (ThermoFisher Scientific) and ATTO 425 (AttoTec).
