OX40L Monoclonal / Biotin / RM134L
Product Details
Description | Clone RM134L recognizes CD252 (OX40L), a ligand of OX40 receptor, belonging to the TNF superfamily. Expression of CD252 can be induced on B cells, dendritic cells, macrophages, mast cells, natural killer (NK) cells, endothelial cells, and smooth muscle cells. Expression of the cognate receptor OX40 is found on activated CD4 cells, CD8 cells, regulatory T cells, NKT cells, NK cells, and neutrophils, but the function of OX40 signaling is extensively studied only in T cells. CD252 (OX40L)-OX40 interaction promotes the proliferation and surival of effector T cells, modulates cytokine production, suppresses the activity of natural regulatory T cells (nTreg), and inhibits the generation of inducible Treg cells. | |

About OX40L
This gene encodes a cytokine of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. The encoded protein functions in T cell antigen-presenting cell (APC) interactions and mediates adhesion of activated T cells to endothelial cells. Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with Sjogren's syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
