TNFAIP2 / Unconjugated /
Product Details
Description | TNFAIP2 tumor necrosis factor, alpha-induced protein 2 was originally referred to as B94, a TNFa primary response gene expressed in endothelial cells. It has subsequently been found to be involved with a number of different cancers. It is a promoter of nasopharyngeal cancer cell migration and has a genetic variant associated with head and neck cancer susceptibility. The aberrant expression of TNFAIP2 in the malignant cells of Hodgkin lymphoma and primary thymic large B-cell lymphoma may serve as a marker to distinguish them from other large B-cell lymphomas. | |

About TNFAIP2
This gene was identified as a gene whose expression can be induced by the tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF) in umbilical vein endothelial cells. The expression of this gene was shown to be induced by retinoic acid in a cell line expressing a oncogenic version of the retinoic acid receptor alpha fusion protein, which suggested that this gene may be a retinoic acid target gene in acute promyelocytic leukemia.
