Product Details
Description | Precipitating polyclonal sheep antiserum to human factor I. Factor I is a serine protease composed of two disulphide-linked chains. The protein has a molecular weight of 88.000 and its mean concentration in human plasma is 35 mg/ml. It is involved in the regulation of the C3/C5 convertase of either pathway. Using C4-binding protein or factor H splits the a chains of C4b or C3b respectively, which includes their roles in the C3/C5 convertases. It has been isolated as a homogenous protein for use in the antiserum production. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure. | |
