Description | Clone REA1202 recognizes the human TIGIT antigen (T cell immunoglobulin and ITIM domain). It is expressed on T cells, including Treg cells and memory subsets, as well as on NK cells. The poliovirus receptor (PVR; also called NECL5 or CD155) is a high-affinity coreceptor for TIGIT that is highly expressed on dendritic cells (DCs), fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and some tumor cells. The interaction of TIGIT with PVR on DCs leads to the down-regulation of pro-inflammatory cytokine secretion and the induction of IL-10 production in DCs, exerting an inhibitory effect on T cell activation. | Additional information: Clone REA1202 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About TIGIT
This gene encodes a member of the PVR (poliovirus receptor) family of immunoglobin proteins. The product of this gene is expressed on several classes of T cells including follicular B helper T cells (TFH). The protein has been shown to bind PVR with high affinity; this binding is thought to assist interactions between TFH and dendritic cells to regulate T cell dependent B cell responses.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the brightest fluorophores available and a potent donor upon which to build tandem fluorophores with longer Stoke's Shifts.
