About Carbonic Anhydrase XII
Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. They participate in a variety of biological processes, including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric acid. This gene product is a type I membrane protein that is highly expressed in normal tissues, such as kidney, colon and pancreas, and has been found to be overexpressed in 10% of clear cell renal carcinomas. About DyLight 650
DyLight™ 650 is a red-emitting fluorophore that excited by the 640 nm laser and collected using a 670/30 nm bandpass filter. DyLight™ 650 has an excitation peak at 652 nm and an emission peak at 672 nm, and is spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor™ 647 and Cy5. DyLight™ 650 is most commonly used in flow cytometery and fluorescence microscopy applications.
