Cytokeratin 5/6 / APC / REA913
Product Details
Description | Clone REA913 recognizes the human Cytokeratin 5/6, belonging to the basic or neutral type II cytokeratins. Cytokeratins, which are found in almost all epithelial cells, are polypeptides with keratin-containing intermediate filaments, which ensure form stability and cohesiveness. Cytokeratin 6 is located in proliferating squamous epithelium, whereas Cytokeratin 5 is found in the basal, the intermediate and the superficial cell layers of stratified and transitional epithelia, complex epithelia, and in mesothelial cells and mesothelioma, but not in simple epithelia and in non-epithelial cells. | Additional information: Clone REA913 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About APC
Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
