CD209 Monoclonal / Alexa Fluor 647 / UW60.1

Product Details
Description CD209, also known as DC-SIGN (dendritic cell-specific ICAM-3-grabbing nonintegrin) is a transmembrane receptor expressed on the surface of dendritic cells and macrophages, which recognizes numerous pathogens ranging from parasites to viruses. Its N-terminal domain is transmembrane, whereas a tandem-repeat neck domain and the C terminal C-type lectin carbohydrate recognition domain have dual function as a pathogen recognition receptor and a cell adhesion receptor. The neck region is responsible for homo-oligomerization which allows the receptor to bind multivalent ligands with high avidity. A ligand of CD209 is also CD50 (ICAM-3).

About Alexa Fluor 647
Alexa Fluor™ 647 (AF647, Alexa 647) has an excitation peak at 650 nm and an emission peak at 665 nm, and is spectrally similar to Cy®5 (GE Healthcare), iFluor® 647 (ATT Bioquest), and DyLight™ 650 (Thermo Fisher Scientific). Alexa 647 is commonly used for flow cytometry, microscopy, super-resolution microscopy applications. It is very bright, photostable, and pH insensitive, all of which contribute to sensitive detection while using this dye.
