About CD200
This gene encodes a type I membrane glycoprotein containing two extracellular immunoglobulin domains, a transmembrane and a cytoplasmic domain. This gene is expressed by various cell types, including B cells, a subset of T cells, thymocytes, endothelial cells, and neurons. The encoded protein plays an important role in immunosuppression and regulation of anti-tumor activity. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Alexa Fluor™ 350 (AF350, Alexa 350) has an excitation peak at 346 nm and an emission peak at 442 nm, and is spectrally similar in size, brightness and application to AMCA, DyLight™ 350 and CF®350. Alexa 350 is most commonly used in flow cytometery and fluorescence microscopy applications.
