CD147 / Alexa Fluor 700 / MEM-M6/2

Product Details
Description The antibody MEM-M6/2 recognizes extracellular Ig domain D1 of CD147 (Neurothelin), a 50-60 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein primarily expressed on all leukocytes, red blood cells, platelets and endothelial cells; it is not expressed by resting lymphocytes. The antibody MEM-M6/1 is a high-affinity antibody capable of binding to unstimulated peripheral blood T cells.

About CD147
The protein encoded by this gene, basigin, is a plasma membrane protein that is important in spermatogenesis, embryo implantation, neural network formation, and tumor progression. Basigin is also a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, ubiquitously expressed in various tissues. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. About Alexa Fluor 700
Alexa Fluor™ 700 (AF700, Alexa 700) has an excitation peak at 702 nm and an emission peak at 723 nm, and is spectrally similar to iFluor® 680 (ATT Bioquest) and iFluor® 700 (ATT Bioquest). Alexa 700 is commonly used in Flow Cytometry and is similar in size, brightness and application to iFluor® 700 and Vio® R720.
