Fc epsilon R1 alpha / VioBright 515 / REA1079
Product Details
Description | Clone REA1079 recognizes the alpha subunit of the murine high-affinity Fc receptor for IgE. The receptor is composed of one alpha, one beta, and two disulfid-linked gamma subunits, of which the alpha subunit binds IgE1. FcepsilonRIalpha is expressed on mast and basophilic cells and is up-regulated in the presence of IgE. The FcepsilonRI complex plays an important role in triggering IgE-mediated allergic reactions. | Additional information: Clone REA1079 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About Fc epsilon R1 alpha
The immunoglobulin epsilon receptor (IgE receptor) is the initiator of the allergic response. When two or more high-affinity IgE receptors are brought together by allergen-bound IgE molecules, mediators such as histamine that are responsible for allergy symptoms are released. This receptor is comprised of an alpha subunit, a beta subunit, and two gamma subunits. The protein encoded by this gene represents the alpha subunit. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
