CD58 / PE-Vio770 / TS2/9
Product Details
Description | The monoclonal antibody TS2/9 recognizes human CD58, a 45–70 kDa cell surface molecule which is a member of the immunoglobin superfamily. It is expressed on professional antigen-presenting cells (APCs) such as B cells, dendritic cells, macrophages, and epithelial cells as well as on T cells, monocytes, erythrocytes, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts. LFA-3 interacts with CD2 on T cells and is important for interaction between T cells and professional APCs. | |

About CD58
This gene encodes a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The encoded protein is a ligand of the T lymphocyte CD2 protein, and functions in adhesion and activation of T lymphocytes. The protein is localized to the plasma membrane. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]

About PE-Vio770
PE-Vio® 770 from Miltenyi Biotec is a red-emitting tandem fluorophore that combines pycoerythrin (PE) and Vio®770. The donor molecule, PE can be excited by the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser and and transfers energy to the acceptor molecule, Vio®770, which emitts light that can be captured with a 780/60 nm bandpass filter. PE-Vio®770 has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 775 nm and is a common alternative to PE-Cy7 and PE-H7.
