Description	Clone REA641 recognizes the mouse CD3 complex, which is expressed on all mature T lymphocytes, NKT cells, and during the development of thymocytes. CD3, also known as T3, belongs to the Ig superfamily. It consists of CD3epsilon, delta, gamma, and zeta chains and forms a TCR complex by associating with TCR alpha/beta or gamma/delta chains. The TCR does not possess intracellular signaling domains, uncoupling Ag recognition from T cell signaling. The TCR is instead non-covalently associated with a multisubunit signaling apparatus, consisting of the CD3epsilongamma and CD3epsilondelta heterodimers and the CD3zetazeta homodimer, which collectively form the TCR-CD3 complex. CD3 is involved in T cell activation, signal transduction, and antigen recognition by binding the peptide/MHC antigen complex. \| Additional information: Clone REA641 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.

About PE
Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the brightest fluorophores available and a potent donor upon which to build tandem fluorophores with longer Stoke's Shifts.
