CD107b / APC / REA1182

Product Details
Description Clone REA1182 recognizes the mouse CD107b antigen, a highly glycosylated 110 kDa single-pass type I membrane protein also known as lysosome-associated membrane protein-2 (LAMP-2) or Mac-3 antigen. It is widely located in lysosomal membranes and the plasma membrane of macrophages and some myeloid cell lines. Under certain circumstances, e.g., after platelet activation, during granulocytic differentiation and activation, in malignant carcinoma cells, and in cytotoxic T lymphocytes, it is also found at the cell surface. CD107b has been described as a receptor for the selective import and degradation of cytosolic proteins in the lysosome or chaperone-mediated autophagy. | Additional information: Clone REA1182 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors.

About CD107b
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of a family of membrane glycoproteins. This glycoprotein provides selectins with carbohydrate ligands. It may play a role in tumor cell metastasis. It may also function in the protection, maintenance, and adhesion of the lysosome. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct proteins. About APC
Allophycocyanin (APC) is a fluorescent protein derived from cyanobacteria and red algae and a potent donor fluorophore to create tandem dyes that can be excited off the 633-640 nm laser. APC has an excitation peak at 650 nm and a emission peak at 660 nm.
