CD10 / VioBlue / REAL318
Product Details
Description | Clone REAL318 is an antibody fragment derived from the full CD10 antibody molecule. It displays no binding to Fc receptors. The recombinantly engineered antibody fragments are multimerized to form the REAlease Complex to bind markers with high avidity. | Clone REAL318 recognizes the human CD10 antigen, also known as the common acute lymphoblastic leukemia antigen (CALLA). CD10 is a 100 kDa cell surface molecule identical to human membrane-associated neutral endopeptidase (NEP) and also known as neprilysin or enkephalinase. | Human CD10 is expressed on a wide variety of normal and neoplastic cell types from different tissues including neural and hematopoietic cells. | It is expressed on pre– and pro–B cells and is involved in B cell development and differentiation. The antigen is also present on mature neutrophils, T cell precursors, and some T cell leukemias/lymphomas. Furthermore, CD10 is expressed on neoplastic cells of several B lymphoid leukemias/lymphomas. | The REAlease Kits consist of the respective fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes and the REAlease Support Kit for removal of the REAlease Complexes and optional relabeling with different fluorochrome-conjugated REAlease Complexes. | |

About CD10
The protein encoded by this gene is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein and a common acute lymphocytic leukemia antigen that is an important cell surface marker in the diagnosis of human acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). The encoded protein is present on leukemic cells of pre-B phenotype, which represent 85% of cases of ALL. This protein is not restricted to leukemic cells, however, and is found on a variety of normal tissues. The protein is a neutral endopeptidase that cleaves peptides at the amino side of hydrophobic residues and inactivates several peptide hormones including glucagon, enkephalins, substance P, neurotensin, oxytocin, and bradykinin.
