TNF alpha / PE / REA656
Product Details
Description | Clone REA656 recognizes the human tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha) antigen, which is a cytokine involved in inflammatory immune responses. TNF-alpha has different functions, it plays an important role in the regulation of immune cells and is a potent pyrogen causing fever and apoptotic cell death. Furthermore, the TNF intracellular domain form is able to induce interleukin 12 (IL-12) production in dendritic cells. TNF-alpha is secreted by activated CD4+ T cells, monocytes, macrophages, natural killer (NK) cells, mast cells, eosinophils, and neutrophils. | Additional information: Clone REA656 displays negligible binding to Fc receptors. | |

About PE
Phycoerythrin (PE, R-PE) is a red-emitting fluorescent protein-chromophore complex that can be excited the 488-nm blue, 532-nm green, or 561-nm yellow-green laser with increasing efficiency and captured with a 586/14 nm bandpass filter. PE has an excitation peak at 565 nm and an emission peak at 578 nm. PE is 240kD in size and has an extinction coefficient of ~2x10^6 which makes it one of the brightest fluorophores available and a potent donor upon which to build tandem fluorophores with longer Stoke's Shifts.
